| PAVING OF STREETS AND LANDSCAPING OF TRADITIONAL HOUSES |
The Upgrading and Landscaping project defined an integrated program that combines traditional aesthetics with modern amenities. Its purpose was to improve the quality of life for residents and increase the attractiveness of the area for visitors. The program included substantial interventions aimed at aesthetic upgrading and functional improvement of the community, with the aim of integrating it into the modern environment, while preserving the cultural heritage of the area.
The first phase of the project focuses on the landscaping, paving and maintenance of the facades of the traditional houses in the "lower neighbourhood", which lead to the traditional fountain. The second phase involved the paving of the road in front of the Community Council and the area outside the church of St John the Theologian.
The implementation of the project aims to improve the daily life of residents and visitors, enhancing the aesthetics of the area. It is expected that the project will enhance the tourist attractiveness of the community, increase the market value of the residences and create new parking spaces near the main points of interest, with special spaces for disabled people. In addition, more green spaces will be added and seating and recreational areas will be created, helping to improve accessibility and quality of life.
