| DOUBLE-STOREY HOUSE |

Thirty years ago, the existing two-storey residence was constructed on the northern side of the plot, covering approximately half of its total area. In this new renovation, our aim was to highlight the architecture of the building while implementing only the minimum interventions necessary.

The layout of the interior spaces was well received by the current owners and, through small and discreet modifications to materials and openings, a refreshed spatial arrangement was achieved. The living areas were preserved and reorganized into a unified space with visual and functional continuity, whereas on the upper floor, the bedrooms and wet areas remained unchanged, without any structural modifications.

Our design approach focused on enhancing the special and material connections, as the building offered limited clear sightlines to the courtyard. Earth-toned finishes were selected for the walls and furniture, complementing the light tones of the existing flooring and creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Through subtle yet meaningful architectural interventions, the connection between the house and its outdoor spaces was restored, transforming the residence into a contemporary home that fully responds to the everyday needs of its owners.

| ΔΙΩΡΟΦΗ ΚΑΤΟΙΚΙΑ |

Πριν από 30 χρόνια, στην βόρεια πλευρά του οικοπέδου και καλύπτοντας το μισό του συνολικού εμβαδού, κατασκευάστηκε η παρούσα διώροφη μονοκατοικία. Στη νέα ανακαίνιση, επιδιώξαμε να αναδείξουμε την αρχιτεκτονική του κτιρίου, πραγματοποιώντας τις ελάχιστες απαραίτητες επεμβάσεις.

Η διάταξη των εσωτερικών χώρων αξιολογήθηκε θετικά από τους σημερινούς ιδιοκτήτες, και με μικρές, διακριτικές παρεμβάσεις στα υλικά και τα ανοίγματα, προέκυψε μια ανανεωμένη κάτοψη. Οι χώροι διημέρευσης διατηρήθηκαν αναλλοίωτοι, ενώ οργανώθηκαν εκ νέου σε έναν ενιαίο, οπτικά και λειτουργικά εναρμονισμένο χώρο. Στον όροφο, τα υπνοδωμάτια και οι υγροί χώροι παρέμειναν ως είχαν, χωρίς να γίνουν δομικές αλλαγές.

Η σχεδιαστική μας προσέγγιση εστίασε στην ανάδειξη των εσωτερικών σχέσεων μεταξύ χώρων και υλικών, δεδομένου ότι δεν υπήρχαν αξιοσημείωτες οπτικές φυγές προς την αυλή. Επιλέχθηκαν γήινες αποχρώσεις στους τοίχους και τα έπιπλα, οι οποίες συμπληρώνουν τις ανοιχτόχρωμες αποχρώσεις του υπάρχοντος δαπέδου, δημιουργώντας μια ατμόσφαιρα χαλάρωσης και ηρεμίας.

Μέσα από ήπιες αλλά ουσιαστικές αρχιτεκτονικές παρεμβάσεις, αποκαταστάθηκε η σύνδεση της κατοικίας με τους εξωτερικούς χώρους, μετατρέποντάς την σε ένα σύγχρονο κτίριο που ανταποκρίνεται πλήρως στις ανάγκες και τις απαιτήσεις της καθημερινής ζωής των ιδιοκτητών.
