Located in the center of Nicosia, within a vibrant commercial area, the renovation of the offices of ALA Planning Partnerships was undertaken. The company is a multidisciplinary consultancy operating in the fields of urban planning, transport, and environmental services.
The primary objective of the design was the unification of spaces and the creation of a contemporary open-plan working environment for staff, while maintaining enclosed offices for senior management. Open workspaces are arranged along the perimeter to maximize natural daylight, while directors’ offices are strategically positioned to allow visual connectivity with their teams through transparent and semi-transparent partitions. Particular emphasis was placed on the creation of flexible meeting areas, both enclosed and semi-open, supporting direct communication and collaboration among teams.
The use of timber finishes and built-in elements introduces warmth and a sense of familiarity to the space. At the same time, glass partitions enhance transparency and collaboration, without compromising acoustic performance or the functional independence of individual areas.
The overall approach is based on principles of functionality, transparency, and contemporary aesthetics, reflecting the identity of ALA Planning Partnerships as a modern, multidisciplinary practice with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
